Studio Movellan is a one-person art studio, founded by Marta de Movellan.

It started in high school art class. The previous group had left fruits and vegetables scattered across the work tables after their still life session, and something clicked: what if they were not just objects? What if they had somewhere to be, someone to love, and an outfit for the occasion? The idea to anthropomorphize them — to give them character, context, and personality — took hold and never let go.

Today, every print in the Studio Movellan collection begins as an original drawing made entirely with colored pencils. Each piece is then printed with archival inks on 310 gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper, a museum-quality, matte, acid-free surface that gives the prints depth and brings out the texture of the original work. Every piece is hand-signed and stamped by Marta before it ships.

Marta is a digital marketer by day and an artist by night — which means she brings the same attention to craft and detail to the studio as she does to her professional work. She is based in Austin, Texas.
